After graduating with a bachelors in French language and Literature from the University of Virginia, I spent the next 3 years in Yunnan, China teaching English and studying Chinese language and minority culture. There I developed an interest in photography, and later pursued another bachelors at Virginia Commonwealth University and an MFA in Fine Art Photography at the Rochester Institute of Technology. I began working on my recent pop-up book endeavor during 4 consecutive residencies.
